ANDREA O’CONNOR, DVM

Dr. Andrea O’Connor has always been all about the horse.  Her interest in horses started at an early age in New York where she competed riding hunters and jumpers along the east coast.

After receiving her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from The Ohio State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine, she completed an equine internship in medicine and surgery at the Equine Specialty Hospital in Ohio.  The practice served both local racetracks and as a heavily used medical and surgical facility.  

In 1998 both she and her husband, Dr. Erich Miller, moved from Ohio to Texas where they started their own practice, Miller & O’Connor Veterinary Medicine, PLLC.  They both live at their practice farm with their horses, dogs, cats, cattle, and chickens.

Dr. O’Connor’s areas of interest include performance horse medicine and rehabilitation, lameness, ophthalmology, and animal welfare.

ERICH J. MILLER, DVM

Dr. Erich Miller is a graduate of The Ohio State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine. Growing up on a dairy farm in West Virginia fueled his desire to work with all types of animals. Meeting Dr. O’Connor in veterinary school drove his interest in horses.

Dr. Miller professional interests include equine dentistry, animal chiropractic, acupuncture, and preventative medicine. He is certified by the American Veterinary Chiropractic Association and has competed courses in equine dentistry as well as equine, small animal, and food animal chiropractic.

When he is not practicing, Dr. Miller enjoys ranch life, cooking barbecue, practicing agility with the dogs, and being married to Dr. O’Connor. Together they have numerous animals of their own.
